The landscape of healthcare is changing at an exponential rate. New technologies and higher stake competencies, influenced by diversity and the need to do more with less, provide increasingly more challenges. As a Department of Nursing nestled in the heart of the San Fernando Valley, we appreciate these ever-changing demands. We know that community and population-based health is the future of healthcare, identifying and preventing problems before they become permanent and chronic.
As such, we want to provide a unique and meaningful opportunity for our students to experience diversity in a new landscape, Costa Rica. Our goal is to cultivate a spirit of compassion, service, community and appreciation for this diversity. You can help make these experiences a realization for our students by donating to our Crowd Funding page. Any amount will help offset the cost of the trip for our students and will provide an experience of a lifetime.
$25.00 will help feed a student for an entire day and sponsor healthy treats to bring to our new Costa Rican friends! All meals included!
This level will help offset the cost of travel to and from our community health experiences. This will also provide funding to take needed toiletries and medical supplies to the clinics we visit.
This level will help a student offset 33.3% of their trip!!! It will also allow us to take age appropriate toys to the orphanages we visit.
This level will sponsor an airline flight for a student!!
