Who We Are
We are a group of 10 ambitious film students in their final semester at California State University Northridge. During this semester we have been tasked with creating a 20 minute pilot for a new series.
In the months to come my teammates and I will be raising money for our project titled "In the Arms Of Thee" which follows a young man who, after his father is murdered, decides to follow in his footsteps and become a pastor. He is faced with obstacles that challenge his beliefs.

Director’s Letter
My name is Aaron Zimmerman. I am the writer and director for the pilot "In the Arms of Thee" is a film about choice, doubt, and morality. It reminds us that the right decision isn’t always clear - and it’s usually never what we expect it to be. This story, a half a year in the making, has been very important for me to be able to tell. Everyone has been faced with a tough decision in life, and usually the outcome is not so cut-and-dry. From the holy to the criminal, we are all very gray, and all have a backstory. I believe this story gives a voice to those who are unable to articulate their internal struggles with faith and justice, and works to validate the gray area that undeniably exists within all of us.
What's The Story?
In the Arms of Thee follows Daniel, a young man, who, after his father is murdered, decides to follow in his footsteps and become a pastor. Two months since the incident, Daniel has become a more seasoned pastor, continuing to preach his father’s teachings about forgiveness. One day, he is visited by an unfamiliar face - a man in need. He agrees to accommodate him, but soon begins to learn more about him. Through the conversation, Daniel soon realizes that he is harboring his father’s murderer, on the run from the authorities pursuing him. His faith is now challenged and must decide whether to uphold his religious beliefs and forgive and protect the murderer, or to follow his instincts and avenge his father’s death.
What We Need
California State University, Northridge is requiring that thesis projects raise a minimum of $10,000 to make the project successful. Unfortunately, my team and I are unable to come up with such funds merely by ourselves. With your generous donation, you will be able to help us obtain what we need to make this project successful.
We will be using these funds for: Locations and film permits We have three different Locations Equipment Rentals Cameras, lenses, lighting etc. Crafts Services and Catering Licensing Fees Transportation- equipment trucks/vans. Talent Music Composer
It would mean a lot to us if you were able to help us. Asking for money is hard, but giving money can be harder. Anything will truly help, even if you share this project with your friends and family members will mean a lot to us.
