Our Crowdfunding Groups
Many students come to college without experiencing the great outdoors and the overwhelming power of nature. Since 2008, the CSUN Outdoor Adventures Program has sought to provide unique recreational opportunities to the students at Cal State Northridge and the surrounding community. Through adventure trips, the RIDGE Rockwall, Outdoor rental center, the Matador Bike Shop, Teambuilding programs, Camp Matador and our Outdoor Leadership program it is our goal to provide awe-inspiring transformative experiences to thousands of students. Our goal is to raise funds to help even more students experience the Outdoors, now and in future years.
We know that these are financially stressful times for many people. CSUN Associated Students and Outdoor Adventures will always be a resource for our students, faculty, staff and university community, but we also want to share our experiences with people around the country and around the world. Donations to our program will help us provide virtual and in-person experiences for the CSUN community and beyond.
Allows us to continue offering new Virtual Programs through Zoom. Help us continue to build our Outdoor community and keep these events free for anyone who wants to join as we explore parks, our oceans, cities, landmarks and other incredible places around the world all from the comfort of your couch.
Send a CSUN student on a single day adventure! These trips range from locally hiking the Hollywood sign, skiing, kayaking, and so much more.
Students are able to rent equipment from our program when they go on our trips. Our backpacks have been in the program for five years and they are ready to be replaced. Help ensure students are using good equipment before they go out on a trip.
Sends a CSUN student on a multi day adventure to National Parks such as Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Sequoia, and other places throughout the US! This includes food, transportation, permits, equipment and facilitation.
Camp Matador is one of the most transformative experiences we can offer a student. Participants go on a four day, three night trip with fellow incoming first year students, with the goal of experiencing the Outdoors, preparing them to acclimate to the University setting and establishing a network of friends and mentors that will last them their entire academic careers and beyond.
