is a 20-minute dramedy pilot follows two recovering drug addicts have to turn their life around to get their daughter back from child protective services but stumble upon a dead dealer's stash which can both benefit them or take them into a whole world of distress.
from California State University, Northridge (CSUN). In this Fall semester, we are producing our senior thesis project as a 20-minute TV dramedy pilot "A Chosen Cycle". In order for us to make this project possible, your financial supports are critical. Our goal is to raise up to $15,000 which will go directly to the funding of this production's rentals, sets, and CDC standard on-site protection. Even a small amount of donation is highly appreciated. It will go a long way in helping bring this vision to reality and gives us big support to begin our senior thesis.
"Forced by faith one might say, I see a repetition of the drug abuse scenes while at work. That inspired me to show a world with two crack heads madly in love with each other who share a common pain from the loss of their daughter; Falls for a trap manipulated by their addiction. With this idea I want to show how certain incidents in one's life can force them to lose all hope and take a path of more damaging deeds and ultimately bring them to a life and death situation."
When was the last time you walk around the LA neighborhood? We are told to stay off the roads because of the unknown of danger, the fear of contacting the victims of homelessness, mental and substance abuse. But no one understands the struggle behind them. No true representation can be found on the news media outlets. Therefore, we, a group of CSUN TV Production students, set off to create "A Chosen Cycle".
Your contributions make our film possible! The money we earn for this film will be used in all stages of production including:
Our Fundraising Process: making merchandise, shooting promos, etc.
Locations: Acquiring permits, transportation expenses, insurance, park monitors, etc.
Casting: Hiring talent, background, casting director etc.
Camera & Lighting: Equipment rentals, camera, lighting, grip equipment etc.
Sound: Equipment rentals, sound cart, etc
.Art Department: Production design, building sets, props, costuming, hair, makeup, etc.
Post Production: Editing equipment, color correction, distribution, etc.
Catering and Craft Services: Provided to feed our dedicated cast and crew
.COVID Safety: providing adequate PPE for all personnel on set, proper sanitizing and disinfecting equipment, masks, face shields, COVID testing and a COVID compliance officer.
Contributions to A Chosen Cycle are 100% Tax Deducible. CSUN is a 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization.
We are dedicated to maintaining a COVID safe set and maintaining the health of our cast and crew is our top priority. We will be following the industry safety guidelines released by SAG-AFTRA and the CDC as well as be providing all equipment and resources to assure the highest level of safety and comfort for our cast and crew.
