Your gift allows StrengthUnited to provide the kind of intervention and services children most need when they have experienced abuse and trauma. Children who have been abused are at risk for lifelong mental and physical health challenges, but early treatment and support can help them to heal and reach their fullest potential.
When a Survivor of assault or abuse has to recount their experience, they can be retraumatized by repeated interviews with multiple law enforcement, legal, social service, and other providers. Your gift to StrengthUnited helps us provide specialized interviews that reduce the number of times a Survivor has to retell their story.
One of the most important things for Survivors is to know they are not alone. We provide groups for children, parents, adults, and vulnerable populations, like the LGBTQ+ community. A gift to StrengthUnited helps Survivors know they are not alone.
One of our most intensive services is to provide one-on-one advocates who can accompany a Survivor from the first moment their abuse is reported. By making a contribution to StrengthUnited, you can give an assault survivor the security of a trained advocate who will be with them throughout the investigation and ensure they have access to all the services that are available to help them recover.
