ChamberFest @ CSUN

We’re excited to share with you that we’ll be hosting the second ChamberFest @ CSUN, which is scheduled to run from January 20^th to 23^rd, 2022. Led by Artistic Directors Dr. Lorenz Gamma and Dr. Dmitry Rachmanov, the Heads of our Strings and Piano programs respectively, the festival will include a series of performances, masterclasses, lectures, and workshops led by a select group of internationally renowned chamber musicians alongside local professionals, including CSUN Music Department faculty and students.

The inaugural festival drew huge attendance due to the combined factors of brilliant and highly inspirational performances, engagement of our community, equitable ticket prices, and a participation of incredibly talented musicians. Our participating musicians hailed from such prestigious institutions as the China Conservatory, the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, the Colburn Conservatory, USC, Cleveland Institute of Music, Manhattan School, and others. In addition to the highly anticipated spectacular performances we have in store for the upcoming year, this festival provides participants with a common platform for an intensive collaboration between world-class professionals and our music students, and builds deeper relationships with CSUN guest artists, enhancing the school’s international standing for future benefit.

In order to help make this important celebration of chamber music a reality, we need your help.
