Welcome to the fundraising campaign for the CSUN Senior Thesis TV Pilot, Sunday!
Sunday is about three sisters, Stella, Marie, and Susan, and their large, extended family that joins together every week for “Sunday dinner”. The oldest sister, Stella, is all about image and she lives for drama. When she gets engaged to her fiancé, Rick, she plans to make a big announcement at Sunday dinner and make the night all about her. Stella’s night quickly goes awry when Marie shares that her new boyfriend, Simon, will be joining the family for dinner and meeting everyone for the first time. Marie’s ex-boyfriend, Jeff, also makes a surprise appearance at dinner after he was mistakenly invited by Rick. Just as Stella is struggling to bring the attention back to herself, Susan reveals that Marie is pregnant, officially ruining Stella’s big night.
The show revolves around central themes of family and communication. Sunday dinner is always growing. New people get added each week and some people leave, but what is constant is the gathering of people every week for the same meal. Sunday feels relatable to any audience; whether or not they have a big family of their own, because of the whacky and engaging cast and the real-life scenarios they experience.

How We Plan On Keeping Everyone Safe
Given the large amount of cast and crew needed for this production, safety against COVID-19 is our biggest concern. Everyone on set will be required to show proof of vaccination and a negative COVID test within the last 48 hours. All crew members will be required to wear appropriate PPE during the production. We will continue to monitor county, state, and federal mandates as well as industry mandates. We will be providing COVID-19 Rapid Testing, sanitization products, and PPE.
Other Ways To Show Support
We understand that donations may not be feasible for everyone! Another big way to show support is following us on social media and regularly checking our website for any announcements and updates. Another way to show support is sharing our donation page and social media page!
