With tensions running high in post-riot southern LA, the relationship between two young teens is changed forever when they realize just how terrifyingly destructive the racial hatred is that remains deeply rooted between their two communities.
SYNOPSIS
A year after the Rodney King riots that left South LA in smoldering shambles, long-standing racial tensions between the Korean and African American community are still running high. Facing toxic prejudice on all sides, Elijah Taylor (African American), and Se-bin Park (Korean American) keep their romantic relationship secretive from friends and family. Feeling pressured to live double lives, it is only a matter of time before worlds begin to collide—worlds that Elijah and Se-bin have been trying so desperately to keep apart. As conflicting tensions come to a head, the two star-crossed lovers are faced with the ultimate decision of choosing each other or choosing to side with friends & family. Will they make that decision before it's too late?
