OPHELIA

Ophelia has the perfect life: the dream fiancé, a loving sister, and an accomplished career. But it isn’t right. It isn’t real. Living within a community designed by the agency, Lazarus, Ophelia starts to unravel its nefarious secrets in which the agency has the ability to control its community. Being the only person immune, Ophelia fights to free her loved ones from Lazarus’ mind control.

We are seniors at California State University Northridge studying Narrative Television Production. This is our FINAL project, a thesis of a 20 minute short that is fully led by students. This is our last creative project that we have the chance to showcase our skills and talents that we cultivated at CSUN for the past four years. We have grown together as a tightly knit team and we are very excited to put out our very best work for Ophelia.

But we need your help!

Our target goal is $10,000. With this amount we will be able to cover:

Location Rentals

Camera and Equipment Rentals

Additional student and professional crew

Talented Actors

Makeup, Wardrobe, Props

Licenses for music

Entry fees for 2024 film festivals

During these uncertain times within the film and television industry, this is truly our final chance to shine and produce work that will get us noticed by industry professionals. The WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike is extremely important to us because they are fighting for the betterment of the future of the industry that we love. Student projects like ours are one of the very few films that are allowed to be made during this strike. Once the strike is over and the entertainment industry is booming, Ophelia will be the force that will help us get the jobs that we deserve from our rigorous education and work.

We hope that with your help we will be able to blow future employers out of the water and possibly receive accolades in film festivals. We thank you!
