Help Social Work Society Send MSW Students to Lobby Days!
The Social Work Society is fundraising to send students to Lobby Days in Sacramento. Lobby Days is a two-day event that educates more than 1,200 students and professionals about important legislation affecting clients and the social work profession. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and get a “hands-on” lobbying experience of talking with state legislators and/or their staff about important policy issues.
Last year, we were able to send around 30 students to attend. This year, we would like to send even more! It costs roughly $500 to send one student to Lobby Days. This covers registration fees, hotel, and transportation. We would love to raise $2,000 to be able to send 4 additional students to Lobby Days this year!
