Harmony & Heritage: Funding Initiative for the China Institute's 2024 Chinese New Year Banquet

This initiative aims to support the 2024 Chinese New Year Banquet organized by the CSUN China Institute and Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA). China Institute's annual banquet involves a combination of celebrating accomplishments, recognizing contributions, fundraising, networking, and building a sense of community and support for the institute's mission and goals: to build and enhance the connections between CSUN and academic institutions in China, promote research, scholarship and better understanding of China and the relation between the United States and China, and support the academic collaboration between China and CSUN.

The event creates a shared space, a unique opportunity for communities to come together and celebrate, learn, and appreciate the richness of Chinese culture. Chinese Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is an essential celebration in Chinese culture. It symbolizes new beginnings and is a time to honor ancestors and deities, enjoy with family and friends. The event also allows individuals of various backgrounds to engage with Chinese traditions, cuisine, music, and performances. This exchange of cultural experiences fosters a sense of unity and appreciation for different heritages, and provides insights into Chinese history, customs, and artistic expressions. 

The funds will be used to bring in professional performers, enhance the decorations, and provide a memorable food and experience for attendees. Donors will be acknowledged through verbal and written means, adding you or your business' names on our China Institute's Donor list, leaving kind comments on your designated  Social Media,  being invited for important events organized by China Institute and CSSA, and VIP seating arrangements with other donors and special guests at the 2024 Chinese New Year Banquet.
