Help Empower Black Engineers by funding a career-changing convention.

The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is dedicated to nurturing the talents of Black individuals aspiring to pursue careers in engineering. With a mission to increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact their communities, NSBE annually brings together over 600 chapters nationwide for a week-long national convention.

At this convention, attendees benefit from a 2-3 day career fair featuring 200+ renowned companies like Google, Apple, NASA, and Microsoft, offering opportunities from internships to full-time positions. The event also hosts workshops providing valuable insights into job skills such as elevator pitches, resume building, and technical interviews. Academic scholarships and grants for both undergraduate and graduate students are available, alongside challenging competitions like the Hackathon and Calculus Quiz, offering winners attractive perks and prizes.

Beyond professional development, the convention offers hospitality suites where members can directly engage with company recruiters, expanding their networks and compensating for any missed opportunities during the career fair. 

With an expected attendance of at least 15,000 Black Engineers, the 50th Annual Convention, scheduled from March 19th to March 24th, 2024, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, will mark a significant milestone for California State University Northridge.
