Our Story
The Anniversary is a CSUN Thesis short film by Jordan Zarou. It follows Salim, a young Palestinian man who, when invited back to his hometown in Detroit for his parent's anniversary, must decide between his dream as a musician and moving back home to help his family in a post 9/11, 2002. This film explores the dichotomy of Eastern and Western ideals of individualism, family, and personal dreams.
