Welcome to the fundraising campaign for the CSUN Senior Thesis Documentary Film, The Dog House.

In a hopefully heartwarming and humorous documentary, we experience the journey of Paw Works, a non-profit animal shelter nestled in Oxnard California. We witness what both animals and people alike have persevered through transforming their struggles into triumphs with the clear goal of saving and finding new homes for these loving animals.
'The Dog House' takes the audience on an emotional journey expanding on the idea of cold isolated dog shelters and focusing on the rehabilitation and intense dedication needed to care for these animals. Unlike conventional shelters, Paw Works focuses on spreading the message and legacy of ‘No Kill’ showing the community how to better care for their four-legged friends. They follow a PawCratic oath to lead, protect, heal, and shelter animals. Relying on donations and fundraising to continue their 10-year-long endeavor. The documentary follows the diverse stories of both the furry residents and their human companions. Capturing the profound impact these canine connections have on the lives of their owners.
Our goal is to help Paw Works continue pulling animals off euthanasia lists and overcrowded living conditions by documenting the work done by these dedicated few. A shared love for animals is what drives us, showing off all the real challenges faced when working with limited resources and grand ideals.
All donations will go towards:
~ Catering & Craft Services: Feeding our crew to make the best documentary possible!
~ Expendable: Batteries, sanitation supplies, moleskin tape, emergency medical supplies.
~ Post-Production: Festival Submissions, go big or go bigger! Editing software subscriptions, film color grading.
~ Equipment: Editing Hard Drives, gotta store all that footage somewhere! Camera stabilization, sound blankets, and wagons to move gear.
~ Transportation: Lots of miles ahead! Our crew is small but our destination is grand!
