Moksha (/ˈmoʊkʃə/) means enlightenment, liberation and release. Moksha is freedom from ignorance: self-realization, self-actualization, and self-knowledge.

ꕥThe Storyꕥ
'Moksha' is about Meera, an Indian immigrant mother and wife who gives up her dream of attending college due to a forced arranged marriage. She lives a mundane and routine life, caring for the house, her kids, and her husband. After a disagreement with her husband, Meera impulsively leaves and encounters a teenage girl on a bus who shares many of her traits and struggles. Together, they embark on a series of unexpected adventures. This journey not only revives Meera's long-forgotten aspirations of pursuing education and a career but also highlights their shared resilience and dreams. As they navigate these new experiences, Meera is faced with the challenge of protecting her new friend and confronting her husband.

ꕥThe Historyꕥ
Women's education in India is an ongoing issue. A crucial reason behind it is the marriage of girls at a young age and the idea that education will give women free will and independent thinking.
For centuries, both female and male Indian activists have fought for women's education and eradicating child marriage. Men have also played a crucial role in supporting feminist principles, continuing to advocate for gender equality and empowering women. Their involvement has been significant in the ongoing fight for women's rights.
