Our documentary is called Suélta and is about two boxing trainers from a small gym as they take us through their careers in the sport spanning decades. From former gang member to boxer to trainer and small business entrepreneur, Ricky Funez, along with Efrain Zepeda a former professional boxer in Mexico who journeyed to the US to become a trainer; we see both men navigating their unique struggles and strict schedules while trying to pass on their knowledge to their young fighters as these mentors search for proper proteges.
