About TRENDS
TRENDS is a non-profit student organization established by undergraduate students and faculty in 1978 as a means for CSUN students interested in fashion design, merchandising, and other related areas, to come together.
Dr. Karen Robinette, Dr. Nancy Owens, and Professor Fran White had the vision to create the TRENDS fashion club with a mission to assist students transitioning from students to industry professionals. We strive to give members as many opportunities as possible to enhance their personal and professional development in the fashion industry.
Each academic year, TRENDS arranges events to give students exposure to the fashion industry and help them build their skills and professionalism. Our most significant events include the Annual Career Symposium during the Fall Semester and the Annual Fashion Show during the Spring Semester.
TRENDS Annual Fashion Show
TRENDS is the Fashion Design and Merchandising student organization. It is open to all CSUN students who have an interest in textile science, fashion design, apparel production, and merchandising
This year’s Fashion Show theme is Fashion Imprint “Designers Leave a Trace” Everyone has their interpretation of Fashion and how they show their identity through it. This year’s Annual Fashion Show will give our Designers a chance to create a legacy and leave a mark here at California State University of Northridge.
We encourage you to leave a donation because with every donation it will help the growth of this fashion club and elevate our projects. You are making a difference in CSUN students lives. When you donate you set an example to those around you that this is a club worth supporting and might influence them to do so as well. With every donations it is getting us a step closer to creating a long lasting legacy that can help generations of CSUN TRENDS members.

For those who donate between $50- $100, we will shoutout our donors on the TRENDS Instagram
For those who donate between $100- $250 we will gift you our physical program that will be handed out to every person day of show!
For those who donate between $250-$500 will get a special shout out in our next years program emphasizing the generosity of your donation and how it has helped develop our Fashion Show
For those who donate over $1,000, we are happy to gift you ALL OF THE ABOVE !! You will get a Social Media Shout out, Fashion Show Program the day of the show, and a shout out in our next years fashion show program.
