CSUN Concrete Canoe Team Project 2024/2025

Welcome we are CSUN ASCE Concrete Canoe Team! We are a passionate and dedicated group of civil engineering students from California State University, Northridge (CSUN), united by our love for innovation and our drive to push the boundaries of what’s possible in engineering.

Every year, we take on the challenge of designing, building, and racing a concrete canoe for the annual ASCE Concrete Canoe Competition. The process is a rigorous and rewarding one, requiring us to blend creativity with technical expertise. From developing a mix design that ensures our canoe is lightweight yet durable, to conducting structural analysis and hands-on construction, each step is a testament to our teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Our team is committed to not only competing at the highest level but also gaining practical, real-world engineering experience that prepares us for the challenges we’ll face in our future careers. Whether it’s designing the most efficient hull, testing the material properties, or getting in the water for race day, every member of the CSUN Concrete Canoe Team plays a vital role.

We take pride in our accomplishments, but most importantly, we take pride in the sense of camaraderie and learning that defines our team.
