Altadena has 300+ new trees!
November truly blossomed into a TreeFest in Altadena!
On November 8, we celebrated our community by giving more than 330 trees to Altadena residents. About 100 residents were able to request larger trees that were delivered to their properties throughout the rest of month. We still have hundreds of names of residents who want more trees motivating us to continue. None of this would have been possible without the generosity, energy, and heart of our incredible supporters. Thank you for helping our community grow—literally!

Update on Activities and Gearing up for Nov 8th
Thank you so much for your generous support!
Because of you, we were able to provide two meaningful field training days for our corps members.
During the first session, they learned how to properly select and plant new trees, conduct soil testing, assess tree health, and perform basic pruning. The second training focused on defensible space and home hardening. We visited three homes in Altadena—two that will require extensive work, where corps members performed initial defensible space assessments, and one belonging to a retired LA County Firefighter. His fully hardened home was truly inspiring; we were all in awe of what has been accomplished and what is still possible. (Photos are attached.)
Now, we’re excitedly preparing for our big Tree Giveaway on November 8th! This is shaping up to be a vibrant community celebration—with local exhibitors, food, and more than 150 trees ready to find new homes with Altadena residents. If you’d like to be part of the day, we’d love your help! Please sign up here: Volunteer Form.
Your support is helping us grow not only trees, but community strength, resilience, and hope. Thank you for being part of this journey.
