Hello to all our donors,

As this funder closes out, we'd like to update you on our overall progress throughout this past semester before the new semester begins. As of last week, we've begun manufacturing and fabricating the bridge, which some may consider a late start. However, it has been the goal of the project managers to revolutionize the entire processes of CSUN Steel Bridge from beginning to end, and we've done so by introducing a new software, RISA-3D, to design our bridge, something that has never been done before.  Now, in the fabrication stages, we've also revolutionized our process by buying welding tables, again something that hasn't been done before. As of now, we have been able to buy two tables, as you'll see in the picture below. 

It is thanks to your financial support that, within the next few weeks, we will be buying six additional tables spanning a total of twenty-four feet. Why? The bridge must be between 23-24 feet long, and by assembling the bridge all in one go on the same table, we're able to quickly and most importantly, accurately fabricate our bridge and be on track to have it done by the beginning of February, giving us plenty of time to practice its construction before the competition on March 27th. As proof, we'll soon be posting a picture of all our stringers being done within two days, all thanks to the welding tables and fixtures.

Stay tuned for additional updates as we get closer to our competition. Very soon, we'll also be finalizing and ordering our team shirts that we'll be using for the competition, and we would greatly appreciate any additional support, as we hope to provide our entire team with these shirts, free of cost. Once again, we greatly appreciate your support and confidence in our team, as we're confident we'll win first place at our competition, PSWS, and later strive for first place nationally.
