Maria José is a story based on true events. When a mother is violently abducted by an I.C.E raid, a 15-year-old girl must be a mother to her young siblings as she is forced to step into her mother's place, not by choice, but by necessity. Our goal is to give a voice to immigrants by highlighting the reality of these humanitarian violations. Together, we can highlight a story that many in our generation will relate to.
