What is MTAN?

MTAN, also known as the Music Therapy Association, Northridge, is a student-led club on the CSUN campus that helps not only music therapy students, but all students expand their knowledge of the music therapy field and the people it serves. MTAN creates and funds opportunities that helps students succeed by providing knowledge, education, and self-care strategies through music therapy events such as drum circles, guest speakers, music game events, sound baths, advocacy events, showcases, and more.

What is WRAMTA?

WRAMTA is the western region chapter of the American Music Therapy Association. It represents music therapists and music therapy students across Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and U.S. Pacific territories. WRAMTA helps support the development of music therapy professionals within the field and for its general members. 

WRAMTA Conference

WRAMTA will be hosting their annual Western Regional Music Therapy conference in Reno, Nevada in Spring 2027. Reno is an exciting and central location where CSUN MTAN members will have the opportunity to learn so much about music therapy and beyond.
