Hello all, quite some time has passed since our last update. Since then we held our live screening of the film with the company of our cast and crew as well as our premiere access tier contributors.

 But, the excitement doesn’t end there. We've officially been selected for the SacTown Movie Buffs Film Fest! For those of you who happen to be in the Sacramento area, this is your chance to catch a live viewing of the film! The festival will take place on April 16th, 2023 at Esquire IMAX Theater in Downtown Sacramento.

Below are links to the Tickets. Our film will be shown during the Morning Block, which is $15 per person and includes Student, Short Films/Docs, Animation and Web Series. However, the Awards will be presented to the winners in the afternoon/Evening block around 7pm. If you wish to attend both blocks, the cost is $25.

It's been nearly 5 months since we wrapped the production of Folsom. Since that time, our post-production team has been hard at work refining a showcase cut of our film. This is the cut of the film that we will be submitting for a chance to be featured in the CSUN film showcase. We have reached the point of picture lock and now all that's left is the addition of the finished score, sound design, as well and other finishing touches. After which we will be able to focus on the director cut which we plan to give a festival run. 

As for you amazing individuals who made this all possible, we too are in the gradual process of sending out your donation perks! To start, today we are going to begin rolling out our social media shoutouts on our Instagram @folsomshortfilm over a few weeks. So follow us if you don't already and stay tuned!

In the blink of an eye, we have finally made it to the last day of preproduction. This morning, we met with our actors via zoom to hold a table read where we were finally able to see the lines of the script come to life. Along with that, the rest of our departments are finishing up their pick-ups and preparations for tomorrow, and we are in the process of distributing film notifications to all the surrounding areas of our filming locations.

Trust us, it hardly feels real that these past few months flew by so quickly, and we are ecstatic to begin production tomorrow. We cannot thank you, our contributors, enough once again for backing us and propelling this project to fruition. For a lot of us, this will be our first opportunity to work in key roles on a production of this caliber. So for this reason, we all want to say thank you for supporting our filmmaking dreams.

On our third day of production, August 25th, we will be shooting the final recital hall scene in a theatre located in the Santa Clarita area. We require a group of extras to fill the recital hall seats, and we would like to extend the invitation to you, our generous donors! Think of it as another way to become involved in the making of this film, and so you could watch the movie magic in action!

We have hit 68% of our goal! So much has progressed since our last milestone, and believe it or not, we are just shy of two weeks away from our first day of principal photography! The entire Folsom team cannot thank you all enough for funding the resources to make our vision a reality.

We just recently hit 50% of our goal, all thanks to you! With just over a month away from shooting, we still have a ways to go. But the Folsom team is eternally grateful for your continued support.
